38. Welcome there, 2013!

We are already on the last day of year 2012, and in a few hours, we'll be gretting the new year, so I think it's time to make a review of this year and a little planning of the new year expectations, don't you think? :)

Ya estamos en el último día del año 2012, y en unas pocas horas, estaremos dando la bienvenida al nuevo año, así que creo que ya es hora de ver qué tal ha ido este año y echar un ojo a las expectativas del año nuevo, no creéis?

So here we are! How was 2012? I think it was a pretty good year :) 

Así que aquí estamos! ¿Cómo ha ido 2012? Yo creo que ha sido un año bastante bueno :)

After a few complicated years, and the year of Japan, how I like to call 2011 year, 2012 it's been the year of putting my foots on earth. 

Después de unos años complicados, y el año de Japón, como me gusta llamar al 2011, el 2012 ha sido el año de poner los pies en la tierra.

When I had to come back from Japan, that was a bad experience for me, 'cause I wanted to stay there. I tried desperately to go back, but it was not possible. Why? Because student visas requires a lot of money, and working visas requires a university degree, and I hadn't any of both. At first I was very disappointed because of that, but then I realized I was totally wrong. It's not about going there right now no matter how, life it's not about that, it's not just the goal that matters, but also the path you walk to reach it. 

Cuando me tuve que volver de Japón fue una mala experiencia, porque yo quería quedarme allí. Traté desesperadamente de volver, pero no fue posible. ¿Porqué? Porque las visas de estudiante requieren una buena cantidad de dinero, y las visas de trabajo, un título universitario, y yo no tenía ninguna de ambas cosas. Al principio me decepcione mucho por eso, pero entonces me di cuenta de que estaba totalmente equivocada. No se trata de ir allí ya mismo de cualquier manera, la vida no va sobre eso, no solo importa el objetivo, si no también el camino que recorres para alcanzarlo.

So I learnt that I had to walk that road, do things right so I didn't had to be in the same situation again in which I couldn't get a visa, and not just that, I had to enjoy walking the path, and so I did :) I'm walking my path now, and I'm enjoying it, and in that path; I've also meet some nice and interesting people I hope I can keep in my life; I've learnt to work hard for the things I care, and for the people I care; I've learnt who are the ones who'll always support me, and I've learnt there's still good and awesome people in the world who's worth meeting.

Así que aprendí que tenía que andar ese camino, hacer las cosas bien de forma que no tuviese que volver a verme en la misma situación otra vez y pudiese obtener una cosa, y no solo eso, tenía que disfrutar del camino, y eso es lo que hice :) Estoy andando mi camino ahora, y lo estoy disfrutando, y en ese camino he conocido a gente agradable e interesante a la que espero poder mantener en mi vida; he aprendido a trabajar duro por las cosas que me importan, y por la gente que me importa; he aprendido quienes son los que siempre van a apoyarme, y he aprendido que aún hay gente increíble y genial en el mundo a la que vale la pena conocer.

I've also been disappointed a few times this year, with things, with opportunities, and with some people, but I've also learnt something from that; things go wrong sometimes, people change and it's not always for the best, but that's how life is, you just have to accept it and keep going, following your dreams, smiling and being happy with the daily little things. 

También me he decepcionado un par de veces este año, con cosas, con oportunidad, y con algunas personas, pero también he aprendido lado de eso; las cosas a veces salen mal, la gente cambia y no siempre es para bien, pero así es la vida, simplemente se trata de aceptarlo y seguir adelante, luchar por tus sueños, sonreír y ser feliz con las pequeñas cosas de la vida.

Friends, family and little things are the best things in life, no matter where in the world you are :)

Los amigos, la familia y las pequeñas cosas con las mejores cosas de la vida, no importa en que parte del mundo estés :)

So what do I expect from 2013? I think the answer is easy after doing the review of year 2012 :)

Así pues, ¿qué espero del 2013? Creo que la respuesta a eso es bastante fácil después de ver cómo ha ido el 2012 :)

I want to keep working hard, so I can take the next step who will lead me a step closer to my dream. I want a little of good luck so I can do that :)

Quiero seguir trabajando duro, de forma que pueda dar el siguiente paso que me lleve a estar más cerca de conseguir mi sueño. Quiero un poquito de suerte, para que pueda hacerlo :)

And what I want the most, it being happy just as I been in 2012, keep meeting new awesome people, and keep the ones I love in my life, near. And also, keep enjoying the little things of life.

Y lo que quiero sobretodo, es ser por lo menos tan feliz como lo he sido en 2012, seguir conociendo gente genial, y mantener a aquellos a los que quiero en mi vida, cerca. Y también, seguir disfrutando de las pequeñas cosas.

For this year, I want to travel a little more, I want to meet with some people I haven't seen in a while, I want to hang out more with my chilhood friends, and I want to be able of doing a few projects I have in mind.

Para este año, quiero viajar un poco más, quiero ver a gente a la que hace algún tiempo que no he visto, quiero salir más con mis amigos de toda la vida, y quiero ser capaz de llevar a cabo un par de proyectos que tengo en mente.

So, I think all I ask for 2013 is a little luck, health, and strenght, so I can do everything I want to do with my own efforts :)

Así que, creo que todo lo que pido para el 2013, es un poco de suerte, salud, y ánimos, para poder hacer todo lo que quiero con mi propio esfuerzo :)

From here I want to wish a very nice and happy new year for all those who deserve it, all those who keep working hard everyday, all those who live their lives to the fullestand try to be happie and make everyone else happy to.

Desde aquí quiero desear un buen y feliz año nuevo a todos aquellos que se lo merecen, a los que siguen trabajando duro día tras día, a los que viven cada día al máximo y tratan de ser felices y hacer felices a los demás.

36. Gel nails!

Have you ever wondered how all those famous girls, models, singers etc always have perfect long nails? Have you ever wondered "how do they do so her nails never break up?"? The answer, is here: Gel nails :)
¿Alguna vez os habéis preguntado como lo hacen todas esas famosas, modelos, cantantes etc para tener siempre unas uñas perfectas y largas? ¿Os habéis preguntado "¿Cómo lo hacen para que no se les rompan nunca las uñas?"? Aquí está la respuesta: Uñas de gel :)

False nails have always been a powerful atraction for women, 'cause they look so perfect and good. But the models available until now were really uncomfortable, short-lived or expensive. Let's take a look at all the tipes of fake nails.
Las uñas artificiales han sido siempre una podera atracción para las mujeres, por eso de que se ven tan bien y perfectas. Pero los modelos disponibles hasta ahora eran muy incómodos, duraban muy poco o eran muy caros. Vamos a ver los tipos de uñas artificiales.

This are the ones you glue onto your natural one, the ones you can get at every drugstore. You can find them all white, french manicure or whith some design. Have you ever tried it? If you did, you'll know about this disadvantages for sure:
Estas son las típicas uñas que se pegan sobre tu propia uña, las que encuentras siempre en las droguerías o en los chinos. Se pueden encontrar totalmente blancas, con manicura francesa o con algun diseño. ¿Las habéis probado alguna vez? Si lo habéis hecho estoy más que segura de que conoceréis sus desventajas:

• First bad thing is that you glue them onto your nail. Glue is, of course, a bad product for your nails, because it's pretty corrosive, so when you take the false nails off, or they just fall, your natural one remainds full of glue, very difficult to get ride of and, corrosive.
• Lo primero malo que encontramos en estas uñas es eso de que hay que pegarlas sobre tu uña. El pegamento, por supuesto, es un mal producto para las uñas, porque es bastante corrosivo, así que cuando te quitas las uñas postizas, o simplemente swe caen, tu uña se queda llena de pegamento que además de ser bastante complicado de quitar, es eso, corrosivo.

• Glue is also a short-lived product (unless you glue them with loctite, superglue or something like that, which is a total crazy thing to do since this more powerful glues are a lot more corrosive, so they'll destroy your whole nail), and after a few days doing things glue won't work anymore and nails will start to fall.
• El pegamento no dura mucho (a menos que useis uno como loctite, superglue o algo similar, lo cual por cierto es una completa locura porque estos pegamentos más fuertes son mucho más corrosivos y se comen toda la uña), y tras unos días haciendo cosas el pegamento ya no pega y las uñas se empiezan a caer.

• Since this glue is such an unstable product, you'll feel your false nails the same way, unstable, so you'll expend the time doing everything as carefully as you can because you'll be afraid that your false nails fall with some move, and that's such a pain in the ass...
• Como el pegamento es un producto inestable, las uñas se van a sentir de la misma manera, inestables, así que te pasarás el tiempo haciendo las cosas de la manera más cuidadosa posible temerosa de que las uñas postizas se caigan con algún movimiento, y eso es un terrible incordio.

This ones are the super-old-style of false nails, the ones people used when there was not acrylic or gel nails.

Estas son algo así como las uñas del preistoceno, las que se usaban cuando no estaban las acrílicas o las de gel.

• As the name itself says, porcelain is something very fragile, so this nails are not the suitable ones for women who have an active life; I mean, doing house chores and such with such a fragile nails... it may be a nightmare, 'cause you have to be extremely careful.

• Como el propio nombre indica, la porcelana es algo muy frágil, así que estas uñas no son adecuadas para mujeres de vida activa, que hagan tareas de la casa y cosas así, porque con unas uñas tan frágiles debe ser una pesadilla tener que andar siendo extremadamente cuidadosa.

• Plus, this nails are the most expensive ones. I really don't know a lot about them, 'cause I never weared it, but I took a look at the info when they were popular, and that's like 6 years ago more or less. I got scared when I saw the prize so I never tried. Back then it was 300 € to put them on. 300 € for something that is just so fragile? I would never pay that much for something I may break up the following day... and even if you don't break them, it's 300 € every month...

• Además, estas son las uñas más cara. La verdad es que no sé mucho sobre ellas porque nunca las he llevado, pero me informé en su día cuando eran populares, hace ya como unos 6 años más o menos. Me asustó el precio y nunca las probé. Entonces costaban 300 € ponerlas. ¿300 € por algo tan frágil? Nunca pagaría ese dinero por algo que casi seguro que rompa al día siguiente... e incluso si no las rompes, son 300 € cada mes...

This ones are also pretty common, and, after gel nails, they are the best. You might know this too, because they've been really popular lately. This ones are the ones you glue a tip at the end of your nail, give the desired lenght to it, and then filling the remaining part of your nail with the acrylic.

Éstas son bastante comunes, y las mejores después de las de gel. Es bastante posible que estas también las conozcáis porque han sido bastante populares no hace mucho. Estas son esas que se colocan pegando un tip a la punta de la uña, dándole el largo deseado y rellenando el resto de la uña con el acrílico.

• This ones not only have disadvantages, so I'm gonna say the pros also. For example, this are "easy" to do at home. You'll need practice, but you can do it. You just have to glue the tip, cut to give it the desired length, and apply the acrylic.

• Estas no solo tienen desventajas, así que voy a comentar las ventajas también. Por ejemplo, son "fáciles" de poner en casa. Necesitarás práctica, pero es posible. Es cosa de pegar el tip, darle el largo que una quiera, y aplicar el acrílico.

• They're not expensive. I don't know how much the acrylic liquid can cost, but the tips are not expensive, and they usually come in packages of 20, 50 or 100.

• No son muy caras. No sé cuanto costará el acrílico pero los tips no son caros y suelen venir en paquetes de 20, 50 o 100.

• They last longer, even if there's the glue thing, the acrylic you apply on top help it to be like just one thing, so they won't fall.

• Duran más, incluso habiendo pegamento de por medio, ya que al aplicar encima el acrílico ayuda a que sea como una sola pieza, y así no se caen.

• Let's go with the bad things. As you have to glue the tip to your nail, you know, glue is not good for your natural nails. 

• Vamos con las cosas malas. Una es que tiene pegamento, aunque solo sea para el tip, y el pegamento, daña la uña.

• Even if you can do it at home, they're laborious. You have to adjust every tip to your own nail, 'cause every nail in each person is different... and also you have to make like an acrylic paste and you have to give it the right form onto your nail, what it' not easy at all.

• Incluso si puedes hacertelo en casa, son laboriosas. Tienes que ajustar bien cada tip a tu propia uña, porque cada uña es distinta en cada persona... y también tienes que hacer una especie de pasta con el acrílico que luego debes extender sobre tu uña y darle la forma adecuada, lo cual no es nada fácil.

• If bad applied, they look totally non-natural, and when removing, if doing it wrong you can seriously damage your nail, and that's why it's usually better for a profesional to apply and remove it rather than yourself.

• Si se colocan mal quedan totalmente no.naturales, y a la hora de quitarlas, si se hace mal  puedes destrozarte tu uña, por eso es por lo que es normalmente mejor que se un profesional quien las ponga y las quite mejor que uno mismo.

Here's the interesting part, so I'll try to explain the best way I can. I have to say that I tried this ones, in fact, I'm wearing them right now while writting this :D Why doing gel nails instead some of the other tipes, like acrylics?

Aquí está la parte interesante, así que trataré de explicarme lo mejor que pueda. Tengo que decir que estas sí las he probado, de hecho, las llevo ahora mismo mientras escribo esto :D ¿Porqué hacerse las uñas de gel en lugar de otro tipo, como las acrílicas?

• There's no glue needed on gel nails :) and the gel product is less damaging then the acrylic one! (I have to say that, in case your natural nail is just too short, then you'll have to use a tip as in the acrylics, but if your nail is not very very short, that'll be not needed~)

• No es necesario el p'egamento :) y el producto de gel es menos dañino que el acrílico! (Tengo que decir que, en caso de que la uña natural sea muy corta entonces si que habrá que usar un tip como en las acrílicas, pero a no ser que la uña esté muy muy corta esto no será necesario~)

• They last longer, because latest gel have improved so they can last longer than acrylic ones.

• Son más duraderas, porque los últimos geles han mejorado, haciéndolas más duraderas que las acrílicas.

• They're more secure, but I think you'll understand this when I tell you how gel nails are applied... But the fact is that gel and nail kind of become just one thing, so it's like if it was your own nail, and that makes it not uncomfortable at all to wear them.

• Son más securas, pero esto lo entenderéis mejor cuando explique como se hacen. El hecho es que el gel y la uña se funden, de modo que es como si fuese tu propia uña, así que no es nada incómodo de llevarlas.

• This ones are the ones that look more natural, so you don't need to apply a nail polish if you don't want to, you can wear just a simple french manicure!

• Estas son las que tienen un acabado más natural, así que realmente no necesitas pintarlas si no quieres, y puedes llevar una simple manicura francesa!

•They look really beautiful, even with just a french manicure, because the form adjust to your own nail so it looks really natural.

• Se ven muy bonitas, incluso con una simple amnicura francesa, porque la forma se ajusta a la de tu uña y hace que se vena muy naturales.

1. First thing is, no matter if is gel nails, acrylic or whatever, to clean your nails and remove all the nail polish you might have.

Lo primero es, ya sea en gel, en acrílicas o cualquiera, limpiar tus uñas y remover cualquier resto de esmalte que puedas tener.

2. Next step is to place some molds in every nail (see the picture) and with the mold, start making the nail with the gel.

El siguiente paso es colocar un molde en cada uña (ver la foto) y con el molde, comenzar a hacer la forma de la uña con el gel.

3. You have to let the gel dry with an ultraviolet light machine.

Tienes que dejar que el gel se seque con una máquina de luz ultravioleta.

4. You can let them like that or apply a white gel on the tip of your nail, so you'll have the french manicure look.

Puedes dejarlas tal cual o aplicar gel blanco en la punta para tener un look de manicura francesa.

As you can see, with this method the gel fit perfectly on you nail, so there's no fear that any part of it can fall. In my personal use of it, I'm super happy! I feel them totally secure, and the results when applied looks really natural! Yo have to go refill the part of your nail that grow up every 3 or 4 weeks, that depends on how slow or quick your nail grow up... And I don't find this method expensive at all, and of course, refilling is less expensive than applying them for the first time...

Como podéis ver, con este método el gel se ajusta perfectamente a la uña, así que no hay ningún miedo de que ninguna parte se caiga. En mi opinión personal del uso que yo he tenido con ellas, lo cierto es que estoy super contenta! Las siento totalmente seguras, y el resultado una vez puestas es realmente natural! Tienes que ir a rellenar la parte de tu uña que crece cada 3 o 4 semanas, depende de la rapidez con que crezca tu uña... Pero no las encuentro caras, y por supuesto, solo rellenarlas es menos costoso que la primera puesta...

What can I say, I TOTALLY recomend it, and for sure, if you give them a try you'll share my opinion :D

Qué puedo decir, yo las recomiendo TOTALMENTE, y seguro que si las probáis compartiréis mi opinión :D

35. Santa's letter :)

Dear Santa:

I imagine you'll be full of letters and work. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna give you a little more, and it won't be easy.
Me imagino que estos días estarás atestado de cartas y de trabajo. Sintiéndolo mucho, yo voy a darte un poquito más, y no voy a ponértelo fácil.


I guess a lot of those letters will ask you for a Barbie, a fireman's truck, or in case of adults, an Iphone, an Ipad or a new laptop. Surely it's not missing the ones asking you not to lose their houses this year, not to be unemployed or be able to afford our country's situation. I figure that, as every year, there would also be those letters talking about world peace, kids not starving or no more wars. Those, dear Santa, those are the worst, 'cause they ask you for a job they themselves are not willing to do. But that's another history.
Supongo que muchas de esas cartas te pedirán una Barbie, un camión de bomberos, o en el caso de los adultos, un Iphone, un Ipad o un portátil nuevo. Seguro que tampoco te faltan las que te piden que no les quiten su casa este año, que no les dejen sin trabajo, o que los recortes no les asfixien. Me figuro que, como todos los años, tampoco faltarán aquellas que te hablan de paz mundial, de niños que no pasen hambre, o de no más guerras. Esas, querido Santa, son las peores, porque te encomiendan a ti el trabajo que se niegan a hacer ellos, pero eso es otra historia.

What I want to ask you for, dear and goody reddish man, is that I won't be lack of strenght, and why not, a little of good luck. After some hard years, I've finally found my way, and I've chosen to work hard and follow my path, so I've had a great year. We all has ups and downs, and until now I've been able to manage mine. My only wish is that, the new year that's coming, would be, at least, as good as this one who's going by. I wouldn't say no to a better situation in our country, 'cause we all need it, but when it come to me, I just want a little of strenght, cheer and ilusion. You can put it all in a small bottle, just in case sometime I need it.
Lo que yo quiero pedirte, querido y bonachón hombre de rojo, es que no me fallen las fuerzas y, porqué no, un poquito de suerte. Tras unos años duros por fin he encontrado mi camino, he optado por trabajar duro y seguirlo, y en conclusión, he tenido un gran año. Todos tenemos altibajos, y hasta ahora he conseguido sobreponerme a ellos. Mi único deseo es que el nuevo año que nos llega sea por lo menos, tan satisfactorio como éste que se va. No estaría de más que la situación de nuestro país comenzase a levantar cabeza, que a todos nos hace falta, pero en lo que a mi respecta, me conformo con un poquito de ánimo, de fuerza, y de ilusión. Puedes meterlo todo en un botecito, por si alguna vez flaquean las mías.

I've got a lot of aims for this new year, dear Santa but, about making them real, I'll take care of that myself.
Tengo un montón de objetivos para este nuevo año, querido Santa, pero de cumplirlos, ya me encargo yo.

34. CHAPTER products

The truth is I'm not one of those girls who use a lot of lotions, creams and such... but I still care about my skin, so I don't usually go to bed without removing my make-up and such. So, of course, I use some lotions and creams.
The main thing I focus when talking about skincare, is cleaning. I mean, I don't care at all about anti-aging creams or anti-wrinkle creams or stuff like that, maybe I'll do when I grow older, but I don't actually care. What I care about when talking about skin is keeping it clean and healthy, so, if you use make-up everyday, you need to remove it before you go to bed ('cause sleeping with make-up is totally a kick in the ass for skin) and also keep your skin hydrous, so it won't end up dehydrated, rough and damaged because the use of make-up. So when you think about that, after you "removed" your make-up, next step is totally removing it. I mean, with those cleansing towelettes you never remove all make-up, you need to take it off from your pores, but how do you do that? With a scrub. But here's where I had the first problem. I usually prefer natural products upon cosmetic ones, so I used a natural scrub from Ives Rocher. Problem? Natural products are usually not soft at all. I mean, since you make it with as much natural things as possible, they usually are rough, and it's not good for your skin to treat it everyday with rough products. But then, what do you do? You don't remove your make-up everyday? Is that better that treating your skin with rough products everyday? None option is good, so the point was I needed a soft scrub to be able to use it everyday, so I started trying a variety of them.
There's a popular store in Spain, called If, where I usually get some make-up and such, and in one of my visits I found they had new products. There's where I found this:
La verdad es que nos soy de esa clase de chicas que usan un montón de cremas y cosas de esas... pero aun así me preocupa mi piel, y procuro cuidarla, así que normalmente no me voy a la cama sin desmaquillarme y eso, así que por supuesto, tengo algunas cremas y tal.
Pero a la hora de cuidar la piel, lo que más me importa es mantenerla limpia. Quiero decir que no me interesa para nada todo ese rollo de antiedad o antiarrugas, quizá lo haga cuando me haga mayor, pero no hoy en día. Así que cuando se trata de la piel, lo que más me importa es mantenerla sana y limpia, así que para las que usamos maquillaje todos los días, es muy importante quitarlo antes de irnos a dormir (porque irse a dormir con el maquillaje es toda una patada para la piel), y también mantenerla hidratada para que no se vea seca, áspera y dañada por el uso del maquillaje. Así que cuando piensas sobre eso, una vez que te has "desmaquillado" toca quitar el maquillaje del todo. Quiero decir que con esas toallitas desmaquillantes nunca te quitas el maquillaje del todo, porque necesitas sacarlo de los poros. ¿Y eso cómo se hace? Con un exfoliante. Pero claro, aquí tenemos el primer problema. Como ya comenté alguna vez, prefiero usar productos naturales que cosméticos, así que solía usar un exfoliante natural de Ives Rocher. ¿Problema? Que los productos naturales tienden a no ser suaves. Es decir, que al hacerlos de la manera más natural posible tienden a no ser tan delicados, y no es bueno para la piel tratarla todos los días con productos así, así que, ¿Qué hacer? ¿No te quitas el maquillaje todos los días? ¿Eso es mejor que tratar la piel todos los días con productos algo agresivos? Ninguna opción es buena, así que el tema estaba en que necesitaba un exfoliante suave que pudiese usar a diario, así que empecé a probar unos cuantos.
Aquí en España está la cadena de tiendas If que seguro que la mayoría conoce. Yo suelo comprar allí algunas cosas de maquillaje porque suelen tenerlas baratas a pesar de ser de marca, y en una de las visitas me encontré con que tenían estos nuevos productos, y allí es donde encontré esto:

I think, but I'm not pretty sure, the brand is that one called CHAPTER, since I couldn't find anything similar to a brand name but that in the products. This series of products is made in the Netherlands, and they've got a huge variety of products in the same collection. I mean, this is CHPATER 01, which means is the coconut smell, but they've got CHAPTER 02, CHAPTER 03... And in every CHAPTER you have a big amount of products, such as scrub, body milk, body lotion, bath salts... what is different, is the smell of each chapter. I thought in getting a whole selection of products 'cause them seemed so good and nice, but I decided to just buy my particular little set to give it a try, so I had just the scrub and the body lotion.
Creo, aunque no estoy muy segura, que el nombre de la marca es CHAPTER, porque no he encontrado otra cosa similar a un nombre de marca más que eso en los productos. Esta serie de productos está hecha en los Países Bajos, y tienen una enorme variedad de productos en la misma coleción. Quiero decir que este por ejemplo, es CHAPTER 01, pero también tienen CHAPTER 02, CHAPTER 03... Y en cada serie de CHAPTER tienes un montón de productos, como exfoliante, body milk, loción corporal, sales de baño... y lo que es diferente en cada CHAPTER es el olor. Pensé en llevarme un paquete entero de productos porque se veían muy bien, pero al final decidí probar solo mi pequeño lote de exfoliante y loción corporal para probarlos.

First picture is scrub. I was, as I said, trying to find a scrub that was soft with my skin, but still cleaned it deeply and which I could use everyday, so, instead of using it on my face, I started using it on my legs. The thing is when I do hair removal, I always use scrub after it, because you know, if you use a razor, body hair tends to encyst, so to prevent that, after using a razor, I always use a scrub to open the pores, so the hair can later grow up fine and doesn't encyst. So, when I used it on my legs I had the thought it was the kind of thing I was looking for, soft but still good at cleaning, so I decided to try it on my face. It was not a surprise when I found I was right. The same feeling I had on my legs, I had on my face, it was awesome. It has a really soft texture, not like those other scrub in which you really notice the granules and them feel not soft at all... it's really easy to extend and you apply it doing circles with your hands, so the granules do exfoliate your skin. Once you rinse it, you'll instantly fell your skin super smooth.
Lo de la primera foto es el exfoliante. Como ya he dicho, estaba tratando de encontrar un exfoliante que fuese suave con la piel pero la limpiase bien y en profundidad aún así, y que pudiera usarlo a diario, así que, en lugar de usarlo directamente sobre la cara, empecé a usarlo en las piernas. La cosa es que cuando me depilo siempre uso exfoliante después, porque soy de las que usa cuchilla por falta de tiempo (y dinero, que también), y cuando te depilas con cuchilla los pelillos al volver a salir muchas veces se enquistan, por lo que uso el exfoliante después de la depilación para abrir los poros y que puedan volver a crecer sin problemas y sin enquistarse. Así que, cuando empecé a usarlo en las piernas tuve la sensación de que ese exfoliante era justamente lo que estaba buscando, suave pero bueno para limpiar en profundidad, así que opté por probarlo en la cara y no fue ninguna sorpresa cuando me di cuenta de que estaba en lo cierto. Tuve la misma sensación que en las piernas, increíble. Tiene una textura muy suave, no como esos otros exfoliantes que notas un montón los gránulos y no son suaves al tacto en absoluto... se extiende muy fácil y lo aplicas haciendo círculos con las manos para que los gránulos exfolien la piel, y una vez lo aclaras enseguida sientes la piel super suave.

So, once I had tried this brand scrub, I decided to try also the body lotion (at first I only tried the scrub, but not together with this body lotion, I was using once I had from when I lived in Japan, a Nivea once). What to say? Since the first time I tried I found it awesome. I REALLY like coconut smell (although I chose this one just because it was number 01 but no because it was coconut smell...), and the problem I've always found in body milk is that he smell doesn't really smell, it doesn't last long, you smell it when you're applying it but then it just disappear. Ok, a body milk is not a perfume, I know that, but if it's not gonna smell then what's the use of adding to it a particular smell? When you go out you use perfume (although I only use it for special occasions), but everyone skin has a particular smell, and that's not just because each of has has its own smell, that we do, but things like soap or body lotions has something to do with it, same for our hair, so if I buy a lotion that it supposed to smell, then I want it to smell. Well then, this one does, it really smell like coconut, and it's not a strong smell because it's not supposed to be (it's a body lotion after all, not a perfume), but it does smell, it's a soft but recognizable smell on your skin, and that's why I like it so much, so I had also buy a small jar to carry with me when on a travel.
Así que, una vez probé el exfoliante, decidí probar la leche corporal (porque al principio había estado usando el exfoliante pero con otra crema, una que tenía de cuando viví en Japón, de Nivea). ¿Qué decir? Desde la primera vez que la usé me pareció genial. Me gusta UN MONTÓN el olor a coco (aunque reconozco que no la cogí por eso el día que la compré, si no por ser el numero 01 de la serie...), y el problema que siempre he tenido con los body milk es que el olor realmente no huele. Es decir, no dura, lo hueles cuando te la estás aplicando pero enseguida desaparece. Vale, que una leche corporal no es ningún perfume, eso lo sé, pero si no va a oler, ¿qué sentido tiene decir que huele a algo en particular? Cuando sales usas perfume (aunque yo soy de las que usa eso solo en ocasiones especiales), pero todo el mundo tiene un olor particular en la piel, y no es solo porque cada uno tengamos un olor corporal propio, que si, pero cosas como el gel o la leche corporal, influyen en esto, igual que en el pelo, así que si compro un body milk que se supone que olerá a X, entonces quiero que realmente huela a X. Bueno pues, este lo hace, huele a coco, pero huele de verdad, y no es además un olor fuerte porque no es como se supone que deba ser (al fin y al cabo no es un perfume, si no leche corporal), pero huele, deja un olor suave pero reconocible en tu piel, y eso es lo que más me gusta, así que al final me compré un botecito pequeño para poder llevarmelo cuando me voy de viaje.

33. Kanken level 10 test

Ok, so... I've been thinking a lot about whether I should or shouldn't write this post. The truth is, (a sad truth, by the way), I've got... "fans". But I mean "fans" and not fans. You know, once you become kind of popular, you get fans, or people who likes you etc, and you get haters. To tell the truth, I used not understand the use of being a hater. Why to waste your time in something you don't like? If you don't like something, isn't it better to forget about it and just focus on things you like? Then, some time ago I just realized about the truth. It's not that haters hate you, it is that the envy you. They admire you, the wanna be like you, but they just can't, so they feel bad about themselves and then they focus that frustration on you. You can see this things because, although they say how much they hate you and your things, later on they try to imitate everything you do. So I realized too that we shouldn't feel bad about having "fans", because they really are our biggest fans. They like us so much they follow every step we take, and try to imitate everything about us. The fact that they say bad thing about us is that they can't reach our awesome level when imitating us, and that makes them frustrated, so they need to vent their frustration. So you know, every time a "fan" says a bad thing about you, it really mean "you are so fucking awesome at X, and I can't be even half awesome as you, that I envy you so much". Be proud if you have "fans" then :)
Bien, pues... he estado pensando mucho sobre si debería o no escribir este post. La verdad, (y es, por cierto, una triste verdad), es que tengo... "fans". Y digo "fans" y no fans. Quiero decir que bueno, cuando uno se vuelve ligeramente popular, se gana fans, gente a la que le gustas o le gusta lo que haces etc, y por supuesto, uno también se gana enemigos, aka, haters. Para ser sinceros, nunca he entendido la utilidad de ser un hater. ¿Para que gastar el tiempo en algo que no te gusta? Si algo no te gusta, ¿no es mejor pasar de ello y centrarte en las cosas que si te gustan? Entonces, hace no mucho, me di cuenta de cómo eran estas cosas de verdad. No es que los haters te odien, es que te envidian. Te admiran tanto que quieren ser como tu a cualquier precio, pero simplemente, no pueden, así que se sienten mal consigo mismos y descargan esa frustración hacia ti. Uno se da cuenta de estas cosas porque, aunque digan lo mucho que te odian y lo mal que haces esto o que te queda aquello o tal o cual, después tratan de copiarte en absolutamente todo. Así que me di cuenta de que no hay que sentirse mal por tener "fans", porque estos son en realidad nuestros mayores fans. Les gustamos tanto que siguen cada pequeño paso que damos, y tratan de imitarlo igual que todo lo demás sobre nosotros. El hecho de que digan cosas malas de nosotros se debe a que cada uno es único, entonces de nada sirve copiar a alguien porque una copia es siempre una copia y nunca tiene el mismo nivel que el original, y eso por supuesto, les frustra, así que necesitan despejar su frustración. Así que ya sabéis, cada vez que un hater diga algo malo de vosotr@s en realidad lo que significa es que sois tan jodidamente buenos enloquequieraquesea, y ellos no pueden ser como vosotros ni la mitad siquiera, que os tienen una envidia que no valen con ella. Así que ya podéis estar orgullosos si tenéis "fans" :)


All of this stuff comes because, yes, I've got "fans", and of course, they criticize everything I do but then try to do the same things, and that used to piss me off, 'cause I can't stand hypocrisy, and that's why I had doubts about explaining out there about the things I do, or I've been doing and such. Of course, I still keep my plans as a secret, but I realized there's nothing wrong about talking about the stuff I already did, 'cause if then they wanna do the same, ok then, that's a reason for me to feel proud of myself, that I'm so fucking good that I'm lighting a path that they'll follow. That makes me look like the shepherd of the flock, guiding little sheep's flock... so proud.
Todo este rollo viene porque, si, tengo "fans", y por supuesto, se dedican a criticar todo lo que hago pero luego tratan de hacer las mismas cosas, y eso solía molestarme porque no aguanto semejante hipocresía, y por eso mismo no sabía si debía hablar o no sobre las cosas que hago o he estado haciendo. Well then, let's go back to the post's title. Kanken level 10 test! Yes, I actually took this exam on 17th June 2012, and of course, I passed it (if not I don't I would be doing this post... xD). So here I am. The results took almost 3 months to arrive, but it did, so I'm gonna explain about this exam, 'kay?
Bien pues, volvamos al titulo del post. Examen de Kanken nivel 10! Si, la verdad es que hice este examen el 17 de Junio de este año, y por supuesto, lo he aprobado (no creo que estuviese escribiendo este post si no... xD). Así que aquí estamos. Los resultados me han tardado casi 3 meses en llegar, pero al final lo hicieron, así que voy a hacer un post explicatorio de este examen, ¿mh?

Well, this is Japanese language aptitude test. The difference between this test and Noken test, is that Noken is focused on all the aspects of Japanese language, such as grammar, vocabulary, listening... but this test just focus on kanji, so basically is a kanji level test. On this test, you've got different levels. I took level 10, the easiest one (and I'm taking level 9 in a month, more or less). So, let's talk about this test, Kanken level 10.
Bueno, este es pues un examen de aptitud de la lengua japonesa. La diferencia entre este examen y el examen de Noken, es que el Noken se centra en todos los aspectos del japonés, como la gramática, el vocabulario, la compresión auditiva... pero este examen se limita al conocimiento de kanji, así que es básicamente un examen de kanji. (En este examen hay diferentes niveles. Yo hice el 10, que es el más fácil (y haré el siguiente, el 9, en cosa de un mes y poco). Así que vamos a ver como este examen en concreto, el Kanken nivel 10.

First thing you need to know about this test is what you need to study. Kanji you need to know for this test are 80 kanji (I'll make another post another day with the kanji list if so), and you need to know onyomi, kunyomi, meaning, stroke order and some vocabulary containing each kanji so you know how it is pronounced when it goes together with other kanji. So let's go step by step.
Lo primero que hay que saber sobre este examen es lo que uno se tiene que estudiar. Para este examen hay que saberse 80 kanji (pondré la lista en otro post luego si eso), y de estos kanji hay que saber sus lecturas, onyomi y kunyomi, el significado, el orden de trazos y vocabulario que los contenga para saber como se pronuncia cuando va con otros kanji. Pero vayamos paso por paso.

Meaning. That's, I think, the easiest part to learn of each kanji. If you are used to study Japanese, it won't be that hard to recognize each kanji and know the meaning. I can say that's the easiest part of the test for me, or kanji in general.
El significado. Esta es para mi la parte más fácil de aprender. Para los que esten acostumbrados a estudiar japonés, sobretodo, no será tan difícil reconocer cada kanji y saber el significado. Al menos yo puedo decir que a mi es lo que más fácil me resulta de este examen.

Then we go to readings. Almost each japanese kanji has at least two different readings (although we've got some exceptions that only have one), onyomi and kunyomi. To put it simple, kunyomi is the japanese reading of a kanji, and onyomi is the chinese reading (let's say, just in case you don't know, kanji were introduced from China to Japan in the past, so that's why they had a Chinese reading and then they incorporated a Japanese reading, and it's still like this nowadays). Once we know this, we'll understand better why onyomi reading are all so similar. A lot of kanji share the same onyomi reading, what makes it specially difficult to remember and associate. I have to say that one kanji can have not only two readings, an onyomi reading and a kunyomi reading, but a couple or more kunyomi readings and same for onyomi readings, although there's always one of each who is used more often, and that's the one you should always remember.
Aquí entramos ya pues con las lecturas. Casi cada kanji japonés tiene al menos dos lecturas diferentes (aunque hay algunas excepciones que solamente tienen una), onyomi y kunyomi. Para explicarlo de manera sencilla, la lectura kunyomi es la lectura propiamente japonesa, mientras que onyomi es la lectura china (para quienes no lo sepan, los kanji fueron importados desde china en el pasado, por eso mismo tenían una lectura china y después se les añadió una lectura japonesa, y han terminado conservando ambas). Una vez sabemos esto, entenderemos mejor porqué las lecturas onyomi son todas tan parecidas. Además, en muchos casos, varios kanji comparten la misma lectura onyomi, lo cual hace bastante difícil su memorización y asociación. También tengo que decir que un kanji puede tener más de dos lecturas, una para el onyomi y otra para el kunyomi, y tener varias lecturas onyomi y/o varias lecturas kunyomi, si bien siempre hay una o como mucho un par de cada que son las más comunes y usadas y las que, por lo tanto, debemos recordar siempre.

Next step is stroke order. You need to know how each kanji is written. The truth is I don't really know if japanese people follow this order when the write kanji daily, but on kanken exam, there'll be some questions where you have to say in which place the indicate stroke is written so you need to know stroke order. I don't find this specially difficult, when you're studying kanji, best way to memorize it is by writing it down again and again, so if you write it on the right order each time, you'll end up memorizing the stroke order without realising.
El siguiente paso es el orden de trazos. Necesitas saber cómo se escribe cada kanji. Y para ser sinceros, no sé si a la hora de escribir un kanji en su vida diaria los japoneses siguen siempre el orden de trazos, pero igualmente para el examen es necesario saberlo, ya que hay varias preguntas en las que debes decir en que lugar se escribe el trazo señalado. La verdad es que no encuentro esta parte nada difícil. La mejor manera de aprender los kanji es escribiéndolos una y otra vez, y si al hacerlo, llevas siempre el orden de trazos correcto, terminarás memorizando este sin darte cuenta siquiera.

Last part is what I think is the hardest one. There are some exercises where two kanji are written together, or kanji are inside a sentences with other words ore kanji, so you need to know how them are pronounced there. The rule is that a kanji alone, I mean, without other kanji in the same word, is pronounced in kunyomi, and if it goes together with other kanji, it is pronounced on onyomi, but I think, on my experience, this rule doesn't really work, so the best way to pass this exercise is by knowing vocabulary with this kanji, because they usually use common words. I have to say that's the part where I failed the most.
La última parte es la que yo considero la más difícil. Hay algunos ejercicios en los que te proporcionan dos kanji escritos juntos, o un kanji dentro de una frase con otras palabras o kanji, y tienes que saber cómo se lee en ese contexto. La regla es que si un kanji va escrito solo, se pronuncia en kunyomi, y si va con otro kanji en la misma palabra, en onyomi, pero por lo que yo he visto, esta regla realmente no funciona, así que la mejor manera de superar estos ejercicios es aprenderse vocabulario en el que esté cada kanji, ya que suelen usar palabras comunes y no cosas rebuscadas. Tengo que decir que esta es la parte en la que más fallé.

Finally, maximum score is 150 points, and you need at least 120 to pass the test. I think it's not difficult, it gets difficult later, when you don't have 80 kanji but 500 and where you need to know about radicals and other stuff... So, here I leave a picture of my diploma :)
Por último, a saber que la puntuación de este examen es sobre 150 puntos y necesitas un mínimo de 120 para aprobarlo. A mi no me pareció difícil, creo que es luego cuando se pone difícil, cuando no tienes 80 kanji si no 500 y tienes que saber todo el rollo de los radicales y demás... Así que aquí dejo foto de mi diploma :)

32. Fakers.

Well, so I think we've all past for an experience like this. When you meet someone for the first time and you think "wow, this person seems really cool and nice!". At first, when you don't really know this person, that's what you think, and for some time, this person gets to deceive you. In some cases, you see soon that this person is not really what you thought, but, sometimes, some people is so used to lie, to play a role, that they really make you thing they are that kind of person, the one they want you to think they are, but they're really not. Some farces can last even for years long, until you realize how different that person is and how much deceived you was.
Bueno, creo que todos hemos pasado por alguna experiencia de estas. Cuando conoces a alguien por primera vez y piensas "wow! Esta persona mola y parece una buena persona!". Al principio, cuando realmente no conoces a susodicha persona, es lo que piensas, y durante un tiempo esta persona consigue engañarte. En algunos casos no pasa mucho tiempo hasta que te das cuenta de que esa persona no es realmente como tu pensabas que era, pero, a veces, algunas personas están tan acostumbradas a engañar y a llevar un papel que realmente te hacen creer que son esa clase de persona que tú crees que son y que ellos quieren que creas, pero que realmente no son. Algunas farsas pueden incluso durar años hasta que te das cuenta de cómo es realmente esa persona y de lo engañada que estabas.

I really can't stand this kind of people. Why seem nice if you're not? If you really want to make friends, then just be a better person, instead of deceiving everyone. I hate people who hurt others just for fun. People are not something to play with, they've got feelings. Does it hurt to you when you're the one who is deceived, betrayed or hurt? Well, so does to all the other, too.
No aguanto a esta clase de gente. ¿Para que parecer buena persona si no lo eres? Si realmente quieres tener amigos entonces se mejor persona en lugar de engañar a todo el mundo. Odio a la gente que hace daño a los demás por simple diversión. Las personas no son algo con lo que jugar, tienen sentimientos. ¿Te duele a ti cuando eres el engañado, traicionado o al que hacen daño? Pues lo mismo para los demás.

Another thing I totally hate, is hypocrite people. I hate that people who always criticize others but never take a look at themselves, so they finally do those things they were criticizing about others. Are you complaining about someone who hurt you? Is that person a bad person? Then, what are you doing being the one who's hurting others too? Why you're not a bad person too then? Later they even act like a victim...
Otra cosa que odio por completo es la gente hipócrita. Odio a la gente que se la pasa criticando a los demás pero nunca se echan una mirada a si mismos, y al final hacen esas cosas que tanto criticaban a otros. ¿Te quejas de alguien que te hizo daño? ¿Esa persona es mala por ello? ¿Entonces qué demonios haces siendo tú quien ahora hace daño a otros? ¿Porqué tú no eres mala persona por ello también? Después incluso se hacen las victimas...

So... no. I hate those people. I hate people who hurt others and even are proud of it. I hate hypocrite people who talk shit about other people and then they worst than those people they were talking about. And I hate victimhood. So just, if you don't want being hurt, don't hurt others. If you don't like lies, then don't do lie. If you don't like something about someone, then don't just do the same later.
Así que... no. Odio a esa clase de gente. Odio a la gente que se dedica a hacer daño a los demás y encima se sienten orgullosos de ello. Odio a los hipócritas que hablan basura sobre otras personas y después son peor que esas personas a las que criticaban. Y odio el victimismo. Así que, simplemente, si no quieres que te hieran, no hieras tú a los demás. Si no te gustan las mentiras, no mientras. Y si no te gusta algo de alguien, no vayas después a hacerlo tú.

Worst part about this is, that good persons... we are always the ones who get hurt by bad, hypocrite and fake ones, and that's not fair. 'Cause if we took fair, then we'll hurt who hurt us, and then we'd all be bad persons and this world would suck even more than it sucks now and we'll spend our lifes hurting and being hurt... and that totally sucks, 'cause life is about being happy, having friends, helping others and having someone to helps us when we need it.
La peor parte de esto es que... es siempre a las buenas personas a las que nos hieren las malas personas, los hipócritas y todo estos falsos, y no es justo. Porque si la cosa fuese sobre lo justo, entonces heriríamos a quien nos hiere, y entonces todos seríamos malas personas y este mundo sería incluso peor de lo que ya es ahora, y pasaríamos la vida hiriendo y siendo heridos... y eso apesta, porque la vida va sobre ser feliz, tener amigos, ayudar a los demás y tener alguien que nos ayude cuando lo necesitamos.

Bad people who like to hurt others deserve the worst.

Ok, guys, so let me tell you.

Some time ago, being a gyaru was like the super-new-cool-mode, so everyone wanted to become a gyaru and enter the gyaru world. The fact is, for some time now, this mode seem already obsolete, so most part of that gyaru can't be found anymore. The truth is I'm glad about that, 'cause you know? Being a gyaru is not a mode.
Hace algún tiempo, ser gyaru era la super-nueva-moda-cool, por lo que todo el mundo quería ser gyaru y meterse en el mundo gyaru. La cuestión es que desde hace un tiempo, esta moda parece haberse quedado obsoleta, y a la mayor parte de toda esa bandada de gyarus que surgió de la nada ya no se la puede encontrar por el mundo gyaru. La verdad es que yo me alegro de eso, porque, ¿sabéis? Ser gyaru no es una moda.

I'm really tired of all those people who put in some circle lenses or some fake lashes and they think they already are a gyaru. Let me tell you, that's NOT being a gyaru. Being a gyaru is so much more than wearing lenses, lashes, nails, extensions, wigs or tones of make-up. A real gyaru is a gyaru ALL the time. Since the moment she wakes-up 'till the moment she goes to sleep. No. Even more. She's a gyaru even when she's sleeping. She's a gyaru at school, at parties, when she goes to the supermarket... Being a gyaru is a lifestyle.
You CAN'T transform into a gyaru buy putting make-up, lenses and such. You can look like one, but you're not one.
Estoy muy cansada de esa gente que se planta unas cirlce lenses o unas pestañas postizas y ya se creen gyaru. Dejad que os diga, pero eso NO es ser gyaru. Ser gyaru es mucho más que llevar lentillas, pestañas, uñas postizas, extensiones, pelucas o quilos de maquillaje. Una verdadera gyaru lo es TODO EL TIEMPO. Desde el momento en el que se levanta hasta que se acuesta. No. Más incluso. Es una gyaru incluso cuando está durmiendo. Es una gyaru en el colegio/instituto/universidad, cuando va de fiesta, incluso cuando va a l super... Ser gyaru es un estilo de vida.
NO se puede una transformar en gyaru poniéndose maquillaje, lentillas y demás. Puedes parecer una, pero no lo eres.

All of those people who think they're gyaru just by putting some make-up on are the ones who know absolutely nothing about gyaru world. If you ask them about famous gyaru, they're gonna tell you just the most famous ones, that ones everybody knows, even that people who has to do nothing with gyaru world. Ok, Tsubasa Masuwaka, Aina Tanaka and Yumachi are very cute and famous gyaru, but, what happened to all the others? Do you know a single gyaru who appears on magazines? For example, Nuts models, like Shizuka, Nicole, Sayo, Yui... Do you have idea who they are? Same happens with gyaru magazines. Guess everyones knows Ranzuki, Popteen, or even SCawaii, but, what about the rest? What about Blenda? What about Nuts? Same thing is for example with brands. Hey, girls, I have something to tell you. Gyaru is no just about Co&Lu, JSG, LizLisa and Tralala. Do you even know Egoist? Murua? Dazzlin?
Toda esa gente que se cree gyaru por ponerse algo de maquillaje y demás son las que luego no saben nada sobre el mundo gyaru. Si se les pregunta sobre gyaru famosas te van a decir las más famosas de todas, las que todo el mundo conoce, vamos, incluso quienes no están metidos en el mundo gyaru. Vale, Tsubasa Masuwaka, Aina Tanaka y Yumachi son muy monas y famosas, pero, ¿qué pasa con todas las demás? ¿conocen alguna de todas esas gyaru que aparecen en las revistas? Por ejemplo, las modelos de la Nuts, como Shizuka, Nicole, Sayo, Yui... ¿tienen alguna idea de quién son? Lo mismo pasa con las revistas, claro, porque todo el mundo conoce Ranzuki, Popteen o incluso la SCawaii, pero y las demás? ¿Qué pasa con Blenda? ¿Con la Nuts? Y otra vez, lo mismo con las marcas. Porque tengo que decir, que lo Gyaru va mucho más allá de Co&Lu, JSG, LizLisa y Tralala. ¿Conocéis Egoist? ¿Murua? ¿Dazzlin?

So ok, I thinks is time to stop saying "I'm a gyaru" if you really aren't. That's an offens for us, who really are a gyaru 24h a day.Being a gyaru is not about wearing this lenses, that clothes, or those lashes. Being a gyaru is a feeling, a way of thinking, a way of life. Just because one day you get some weird make-up you're NOT a gyaru, so c'mon, everyone, let's stop calling gyaru to everything. Thanks.
Así que, me parece que va siendo hora de dejar de decir eso de "soy gyaru" si realmente no lo eres. Porque eso nos ofende a las que si que lo somos las 24h del día. Ser gyaru no va sobre llevar pestañas, lentillas o X prendas de ropa. Ser gyaru es un sentimiento, una manera de pensar, un estilo de vida. Simplemente porque un día te pongas X maquillaje NO te vuelves gyaru, así que vamos, dejemos de llamarle gyaru a todo. Gracias.

Curried rice with mushrooms - Receipe

Ingredients:

• 2 cups of rice
• 4 cups of broth (vegetables one or chicken one)
• 200 g of mushrooms
• 1 small onion
• 1 garlic clove
• 2 teaspoon of curry
• 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
• 1/4 l of lemon juice
• A small butter piece
• Salt

How to make it:

1. Wash a couple of times the rice with a colander to take off all the starch and let it settlein cold water for a while.
2. Peel and chop the onion and the garlic. If your mushrooms are natural ones, not frozen or canned, you need to wash ad clean them.
3. Melt the butter in a frying pan or in a sauce pan and add the onion and the mushrooms. When the onion begin to look transparent, add the garlic, the curry, the cumin and the lemon juice.
4. While you heat up the broth add the rice to the pan and sauté it for a few minutes.
5. Add the broth to the pan and let it cook until this is already consumed, aproximately 10 minutes.
6. Serve it with a little of parsley sprinkled on it.
